TypeMaths is a free online editor for writing out mathematical working step by step. Type sqrt, int, / and ^ and they typeset as you go; press Enter and the line copies down, so the next step starts where the last one ended and the equals signs stay lined up. It looks like the page you would have written by hand — and it does the arithmetic when you ask.

TypeMaths does not do your maths for you. It removes everything between having a thought and seeing it written down properly.
sqrt, int, pi, theta; "/" for a fraction, "^" for a power. It typesets as you go, so the line looks like maths while you are still typing it.
Press Enter and the whole line copies down. Change the part that changed, and the equals signs stay aligned down the page, the way they would on ruled paper.
When a step comes down to numbers, evaluate it and the result appears on the next line. The working stays yours; the calculator is there when you ask.
